If you’ve heard Keala’s story of going from broke barista to millionaire entrepreneur, then chances are you want to know how he did it.
I mean, who doesn't want to travel the world and live in a big house with a Lambo in the driveway!?
Even if your goals are a little different, affiliate marketing is a great way to build a business that can help you get there.
But recently, Keala shared a powerful story that revealed 4 cornerstones that helped lay the foundation of the success he enjoys today.
In this article, I’ll break down these 4 cornerstones of success and how you can use them to WIN.
The Power of “What If!?”
Back when Keala first got started as an Affiliate Marketer, he was promoting a popular offer along with some other high-performing affiliates.
This particular program held affiliate contests and maintained a leaderboard of the TOP 200 affiliates, who would also get perks like VIP seating at live events.
One day, someone tagged Keala on the leaderboard, and low and behold, he had made it onto the leaderboard…
At #196.
More importantly than making it on the leaderboard, this opened Keala’s eyes to the possibilities in front of him.
“What if…” he thought, “I could make it to the top 10, or even #1!?”
It was a long way off from where he was at, but as you’ll see when you keep reading this article until the end, this sparked Keala’s growth into the millionaire marketer he is today.
The point?
Never underestimate the power of “what if…”
Take the time to appreciate your smaller milestones, and allow your mind to open to the possibilities as you continue your journey.
Got your first lead?
If you can get one lead, then isn’t it possible for you to get 100
or 1,000!?
Got your first sale?
Imagine what your bank account might look like once you get your 100th sale!
Use these milestones to cultivate the belief in yourself that you can achieve even your biggest goals.
Take time to visualize yourself achieving them until you can feel what it would be like to get there.
This will spark and stoke the fire within you that you’ll need to become a true winner.
Forward, Full Throttle

Once Keala saw his name on the leaderboard and started to see what was possible, he wasn’t satisfied with staying where he was.
Quite the opposite, he went on a full sprint towards the top.
He worked as hard as he possibly could to move the needle forward and make progress.
He didn't settle for the easy traffic source and wasn't even running FB ads at the time.
In addition to endorsed email traffic, Keala posted ads on Craigslist, used his personal FB account to generate leads, and even hit up hundreds of Facebook groups on a daily basis to generate leads and get more sales.
He even put his phone number at the bottom of his emails to get people on the phone and move them forward!
The lesson?
Once you see what’s possible and open your mind to success,
GO FOR IT!
This is the time to shed excuses and do whatever it takes to get there.
It will require you to step out of your comfort zone and even attract some hate from people who don’t agree with what you’re doing.
But the truth is that staying in your comfort zone and listening to the haters is holding you back from success.
Ditching these things is like taking off the parking brake in your car so that you can open up the throttle and rocket full speed towards your goals.
Some people who are okay with losing may not want to hear this, but that’s the level of commitment required to win big.
No holding back!
Believe in yourself, tap into your desire, and put the pedal to the metal!
Don't Settle for “Second”
As Keala was sprinting towards the top of the leaderboard, something happened that most of us can relate to;
He got distracted.
Here’s what happened:
During the affiliate contest that Keala was bent on winning, the Owner of the company announced a testimonial contest that would give the winner an award and recognition in front of the company.
Keala saw some low-hanging fruit that he felt he could win which would help him network with leaders of the company and grow his business.
So he hired a videographer and put together an inspiring testimonial he was sure would win.
He didn't.
At first, Keala was disappointed.
He made up a story of how the judging was unfair, of how he should have won.
But after a while, Keala realized that he was just whining.
The only reason he was interested in the testimonial contest was that he was afraid that he wouldn't win the affiliate contest, and that’s what really mattered.
The contest could actually make him money.
So he shifted his attitude and chose to be grateful that he lost the testimonial contest.
It would force him to focus on what was most important;
Getting the most sales on the leaderboard and becoming the top affiliate.
The lesson?
Detours are distractions.
There will sometimes be smaller goals and milestones along the way that are easier to achieve than our main goal and they can even relieve some of the fear that we won’t make it.
But getting distracted and easing off our goals is to do something else that feeds into that fear and steals our time and energy away from winning.
Stay focused and continue moving forward full speed towards your goals.
Determination Makes the Difference

After getting back on track, Keala finally reached his goal and landed in first place on the leaderboard!
He beat out the previous leader who had over 1,000,000 leads on his mail list, with only 15,000 email subscribers at the time.
His success got him recognition from everyone in the company, which helped his business grow even more.
Plus, seeing Keala succeed created a domino effect and helped others see what they could achieve as well.
Members of his circle also began to hit the leaderboard and see wild success of their own.
This epicenter of success catapulted Keala towards everything he has achieved today, earning over 50 million online, speaking on stages across the world, networking with some of the most successful, brilliant minds in the industry, and laying the foundation for what we now know as Fullstaq Marketer.
But the truth is, it didn’t happen right away,
In fact, from the time he hit #196 on that leaderboard to when he reached number 1, it took over a year.
During that entire time, Keala kept up a tireless pace, working at a full sprint towards the success he desired.
Yes, it was hard.
But he made it happen.
That’s another tough truth about winning that many aren’t ready to hear.
It’s hard, so in order to win, you have to be determined.
Make up your mind now that no matter how long it takes, or how hard it is, you’re willing to put in the work to win and achieve your goals.
You never know when it will happen, but one thing’s for sure:
You’ll never get there if you give up.
Conclusion
Winning is hard.
It’s easy to make excuses and take the easy way out, but if you’re determined to achieve your goals, there are some essential things you must do.
Be willing to celebrate small wins, visualize your success until your desire begins to grow, and cultivate the belief that you can achieve what you set out to do.
Go for it full throttle. Holding back will sabotage your success, so let go of excuses and do whatever it takes to move forward.
Don’t allow detours to distract you from your goals.
Distractions drain your energy and encourage you to settle for “seconds”.
Remember – Determination is key. It may take longer to get to your goals than you’d like, but if you give up, you’ll never get there.
Make the decision now to keep going until you win.
Put these 4 cornerstones of success in place in your life and be sure to share your story of success when you get there!

Damn good job!
Keala, this is a great post sir. I loved this story!!!!
It is hard to stay focused when you have a small house full of people and 4 of them are kids, I am finding myself telling them that grandma can’t help you right now, you will have to have mom or dad as I am busy working on my business, something I didn’t think I could do. I am struggling to understand some of this as it is sometimes hard for me to understand things and scared that I am not doing it right. I need to learn to have faith in myself that I can do this and be successful.
I love the positivity and encouragement, great information. Thanks alot Keala
Wow, what a powerful story! This is amazing and very inspiring. I can’t wait to get started, thank you!
It’s hard to focus when the bills are pulling in and the phone calls doesn’t ease up. I need this change so bad and I’m willing to put the throttle in and keep going. Working a party time job is exhausting because of the constant being on the feet. I want the change!
